CURRENT POSITIONS
Protocol Engineer
Protocol Engineers bear the primary responsibility for development of the company's line of wireless protocol products. Duties include the design and implementation of new features and enhancements to current products, and development of custom protocols for specific customer requirements. Candidates should be experienced in both wired and wireless networking, Internet protocols, and have a strong background in software development. Development experience with TCP and IP is a major plus. Knowledge of C is required. BS/MS in EE, Computer Science or related fields and a minimum of 5 years in software development.
Lead QA Engineer
The Lead QA Engineer is responsible for building and executing quality assurance processes for the wireless protocol products developed in the Global Protocols labs. Duties include the construction and operation of simulated wireless architectures and the maintenance of the networking lab's testing infrastructure. In addition, the QA Engineer routinely interfaces with the protocol engineering staff and product managers and assists in the development of the product line. Frequent interaction with customers and partners is also required. The candidate should be experienced in wireless network architectures and software development processes. A general knowledge of Internet protocols, satellite communications and terrestrial wireless networking is desirable. Experience with wireless emulation hardware and software is also a plus. BS/MS in EE, Computer Science or related fields, and a minimum of 5 years in QA engineering.
Product Manager
The Product Manager is responsible for the management of the broad range of duties that affect product design, development and delivery. This position serves as the liaison between the protocol engineering staff and the sales and management staffs. Duties include management of personnel and resources allocated for specific product development tasks, and the coordination of product development with the Global Protocols sales efforts. Frequent interaction with customers and partners is necessary. The Product Manager will also work to ensure that development work is conducted within predetermined budgets and that delivery schedules are met. Candidates for this position should be experienced in commercial product management and software development. Experience with protocol development and wireless networking is a plus. BS/MS in EE, Computer Science or related fields and at least 5 years experience in product or program management.
