Joint Network Node (JNN)

The JNN is the Army component of the GIG, providing mobile tactical communications to deployed warfighters. The network comprises satellite, tac fiber, and HF LOS, with each node accelerated by a single SkipWare implementation.

Satellite Wide Area Network (SWAN)

An IP-based satellite network that provides the forward-deployed USMC warfighters with broadband connections to their theater commands. SkipWare-based platforms have been integrated into the SWAN architecture to provide SCPS-based acceleration in this network.

Standardized Tactical Entry Points (STEP)

The STEP is a DISA program that provides broadband satellite connectivity to the DISN to deployed warfighters through 16 teleport sites worldwide. SkipWare is installed at each of these sites to provide accelerated connectivity to the deployed warfighters served by the STEP system.

DISA Teleport Program

Teleport improves deployed warfighters' access to the global DISN by providing a worldwide system of enhanced satellite communications mix-of-media hubs. The Teleport program has standardized on SkipWare to provide accelerated satellite connectivity to their tactical military subscribers.

Military Transition Teams Program (MiTT)

Army and USMC program that integrates US soldiers with Iraqi troops for the purpose of providing training and mentoring on combat and policing operations.

Mounted Battle Command-on-the-Move (MBCOTM)

MBCOTM is a vehicular tactical communications program designed to provide on-the-move satellite communications to the deployed warfighter. SkipWare is specified as the acceleration technology for this program in order to provide interoperable acceleration to other tactical networks such as the JNN and STEP system.
